This submarine was sunk off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Yes, you read that right, a German U-boat sunk in US waters. Very interesting read (and it’s not the only U-boat to get over to US waters, either and there may be more as well!).
Nice little vid on the Bismarck.
I have a book about this ship, but it’s been ages since I last read it. Of interesting note is that Bismarck’s stern is still missing.
